It’s that time again to honor our Military dependents who are getting ready to graduate!
At this event we will announce this name, scholarship info/awards, future plans, and give them a certificate of achievement and lastly a red, white, and blue military cord for graduation & senior recognition ceremonies.
Here's the link to the form "Senior Military Dependent Recognition Ceremony": Event will be at the Gulf Coast State College Student Union EAST ROOM 232. CHECK-IN starts at 6:15 and ceremony starts at 6:30 pm.
What qualifies them as a Military Dependents? The requirements in order to get a Military dependent cord:
-The student must have or had a parent in the military during Pre-K to 12th grade (during their educational time)
-A Military Parent can be a adopted parent, guardian, Step-parent, biological parent
-Military Service includes (all branches-Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force ) plus & including Coast Guard (even though they are part of the Department of Homeland Security.)
