STEM Night

Bay High School welcomed families for an exciting and interactive STEM Night, transforming the campus into a vibrant showcase of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The event highlighted student-led demonstrations and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and celebrate innovation.

One of the most popular attractions was the CSI Fingerprint Analysis station, where students guided visitors through a mock forensic investigation. Participants learned how fingerprints are collected and analyzed, gaining insight into how science is used in real-world criminal investigations. The interactive experience made learning both engaging and memorable.

Technology demonstrations also captured attention, including digital modeling and simulation displays that showed how computers can be used to study complex systems and visualize data, including the heart and a butterfly enclosure! Students explained how these tools connect to careers in engineering, medicine, and design, emphasizing the growing role of technology in everyday life.

Engineering challenges encouraged guests to build, test, and problem-solve, highlighting the importance of creativity and perseverance. Biology displays and anatomy models provided additional opportunities for visitors to explore scientific concepts in a hands-on way, with students confidently explaining their projects and discoveries.

Beyond the activities, STEM Night strengthened connections between students, teachers, and the community. It gave students valuable leadership experience while inspiring younger attendees to imagine their own futures in STEM fields.

Overall, Bay High School’s STEM Night was a celebration of curiosity, collaboration, and learning in action—demonstrating the school’s commitment to preparing students for a future driven by innovation and discovery.
