Yesterday, several of our Bay High Theatre students were invited to participate in a medical training simulation at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital, working inside both the Emergency Room and Ambulance ER alongside real medical professionals.
Students were assigned detailed backstories, realistic wounds, and triage ratings:
Green– probably okay
Yellow– 50/50 chance of surviving
Red– critical injuries
And let’s just say… they committed. Our students were such convincing patients that hospital security was briefly called to double-check that everything was under control. (That’s when you know the acting is next level!)
While there, our students also connected with the younger students from Tyndall Academy, who were participating as well. It was great to see them in action and to share the experience together. Huge shoutout to those students for stepping up and doing an outstanding job!
Our students were absolute troopers, bringing professionalism, talent, and a little Bay High flair to a high-stakes training environment. We are so proud of how they represented Bay- they truly showed up and showed out today.
