Arnold High School is proud to welcome Janice Strickland-Salares back to campus as interim principal, following the retirement of Principal Britt Smith in January. A familiar and respected leader, Strickland-Salares holds a unique place in Arnold’s history as the school’s founding principal, opening its doors in 2000 and helping establish the culture of excellence, pride, and community that continues to guide the school today. Her return has been met with excitement and gratitude from students, staff, alumni, and families throughout the Panama City Beach community.
Recently honored as a Bay District Schools Educator of a Lifetime, Strickland-Salares brings decades of experience and a deep connection to Arnold High School’s mission and values. Her leadership aligns with continued success at Arnold and reflects the positive, districtwide momentum underway across Bay County. As the school looks ahead, Arnold High School remains focused on building upon this success, strengthening partnerships, and providing meaningful opportunities that prepare every student for life beyond graduation.
