Principal's Welcome

head shot

Welcome to J.R. Arnold High School. It is both an honor and a full-circle moment to welcome you as Interim Principal of a school I had the privilege of opening more than twenty-five years ago. J.R. Arnold High School proudly serves the Panama City Beach community as its high school and has grown into one of the area’s premier educational institutions.

Since its founding, Arnold High School has been committed to providing students with a true triple-A experience: Academics, Arts, and Athletics. This commitment ensures our students have access to exceptional opportunities that prepare them for success in college, careers, and life.

Our academic program is thoughtfully designed to meet diverse student needs. Through our Collegiate Studies program, students can pursue advanced academic coursework, while our Career and Technical Education pathways offer industry certifications that allow students to transition seamlessly from high school into the workforce.

Arnold’s fine and performing arts programs allow students to explore and develop their talents as performers, musicians, and visual artists. Our drama students take on the responsibility of managing and operating the county’s largest auditorium during both school and community productions. Their creativity and dedication are evident, as their work continues to entertain and enrich our community.

Athletically, Arnold High School is proud to be home to multiple FHSAA State Championship programs, along with many other outstanding athletic teams. This past year alone, Arnold Athletics earned multiple county and district championships, including back-to-back FHSAA State Championships by our Boys Soccer team and a Final Four appearance by our Boys Baseball team.

I invite you to explore our webpages to learn more about all that makes Arnold High School special. I also encourage you to visit us in person at 550 Alf Coleman Road in Panama City Beach, Florida, and experience firsthand what it means to be an Arnold Marlin.
